Background:
Chris Skelton began his career as a civil engineering with J.D. Hair & Associates in Tulsa, Okla., where he obtained a substantial amount of construction, design, and engineering experience. Chris’ legal career began at the Skelton Law Firm where he maintained a general practice. In 2017, Chris joined the firm of Hayes Magrini & Gatewood in Oklahoma City, Okla., where he practiced construction and surety law. His work included numerous complex commercial lawsuits and arbitrations related to construction and design litigation, bond and lien claims, and the related work. In 2023, Chris obtained his law license in Texas and joined the law firm of Clark Hill in Frisco, Tex.
Chris has since returned to the Skelton Law Firm and expanded its presence by adding an office in Oklahoma City. His practice is primarily focused on complex business/commercial transactions, business/commercial litigation, and commercial construction disputes. With respect to construction and design litigation, his representation includes contract claims (Extra Work, Change Orders, Delay Claims, Equitable Adjustments), defect claims, bond claims, lien claims, negligence claims, and other business/commercial litigation related matters.
